Choose your preferred transportation! Our shuttle service from the airport is $60, bringing you directly to our Tijuana clinic. Opt for Uber at $25 to reach the border, where we’ll meet you after you walk across. For an adventurous and budget-friendly option, use public transportation—follow the instructions below for a straightforward journey, costing only a few dollars, though it takes a bit more time.
Many patients from San Diego and L.A. reach the US-Tijuana border independently, where we pick them up. We also provide a free return to the border when they’re ready to head back to the US. See below for more instructions!
Exit the bus and find the trolley station across the street. Take the San Diego Trolley’s Blue Line labeled “San Ysidro/Tijuana Border” every 15 to 30 minutes. In about 30 minutes, it’ll effortlessly transport you to the Tijuana border, ensuring a simple and convenient journey.
Exit the airport, locate the sidewalk bus stop. If uncertain, inquire at the info desk. Bring $7 in change, drop it in the front box for a day pass covering bus and train rides. Inform the driver you’ll disembark at the American Plaza Trolley stop downtown, near the pier. The driver will remind you. Simple and convenient for exploration!
When you get to the San Diego airport, you should move forward through baggage claim and then take the sidewalk, straight to the MTS bus stop.
Upon Trolley exit, call us to signal your arrival, and we’ll dispatch a driver. Follow the crowd down the platform, turn left, and heed signs reading “MEXICO.” Pass through the turnstile gate, clear customs with your US passport, and complete a tourist permit form. Enjoy a free week’s stay or opt for a 180-day permit for a small fee, streamlining future visits—no need to halt at the immigration desk; just present the permit if asked.
After leaving Customs, follow the crowd to the sidewalk and cross to “Farmacia Milenio.” Wait for us to pick you there.
Travel by a car?
Take exit 1-A on the 805 freeway or Interstate 5, marked “LAST USA EXIT, CAMINO DE LA PLAZA.” Be vigilant, as missing it leads directly into Tijuana. Turn left at the traffic light on Camino de la Plaza Street, cross the bridge to San Ysidro Blvd, and turn right at the light. Convenient parking options include a pay lot on your right and another behind “Jack in the Box.” We look forward to welcoming you to our clinic!
Park, call us before entering Mexico. The shuttle will meet you. Find the Trolley Station near US Customs from your parking lot. Follow signs to enter Mexico, walk south along the Trolley tracks, pass McDonald’s, and find the pedestrian pathway. Go through the “Welcome to Mexico” gate to reach Mexican Customs. Have your passport ready and fill out the tourist entry form. After exiting Customs, continue straight ahead, ignore taxis, and follow the sidewalk turning right. Cross the bridge to locate the three-story MEDAC building with a “MEDAC” sign. We’ll meet you there with the shuttle to the clinic. Shuttle service back to the border is available post your appointment.
Mexico now requires passports for border crossing, mirroring the US. Have your passport ready to ensure a smooth process with both US and Mexican Customs. Stay prepared and hassle-free!
If you lack a US Passport, opt for the “Passport Card” instead of the “Passport Book” for faster border crossings with the RFID chip. Apply for both as the card qualifies you for “Ready Lanes” as a pedestrian or in a car.

Walking into Mexico?
Carry your US passport, fill out a quick 5-minute tourist permit form, and keep it as proof of legal entry. A week’s visit to Tijuana is free; for longer stays or visits to other places, get the 180-day permit for $25.
In Tijuana, have proof of legal border crossing. Obtain your tourist permit, even if not always requested at Mexican Customs for drivers. After entering Mexico, skip car inspection lanes, head to the Voluntary Declaration area. Find the Immigration office, state your visit and shopping for efficiency. Minimize details like clinic or hotel addresses for a smoother process.
